What service do you offer?
We offer residential and small business garbage collection for selected areas in
Hoke County
How many times a week do you pick up?
We have selected some areas for once-a- week pickup, and some areas for twice-a-week pickup. Once you order service, your service days and pick up availability
are assigned.
How much does it cost for weekly service?
Our base rates start as low as $12 per month depending on your preferences,
locations, pay options, and services requested.
Does a Garbage Container come with my services?
Roll-out containers are available upon request, and will be included in the base
rate of service.
Do you pick up large items?
We offer special pickup service to our customers by appointment. There is a $10
minimum fee to visit your location, and then a price is given for the service.

Do you pick up rubbish?
We do collect rubbish; however, we ask that you limit your bags to 6 bags per
week or 3 bags per pick up on your normal service day(s).
What time will my garbage be collected?
Garbage must be out by 5:00 a.m. Collectors are not allowed to wait for
customers to bring out garbage, and due to the possibility of route changes, a
specific time for individual service is not guaranteed or predicted.
Can I share service with my neighbor?
Sharing garbage service is prohibited. If suspected, services will not be
rendered.
Are there items you will not pick up on a regularly scheduled service
day?
We DO NOT accept tires, automobile batteries, firewood, tree limbs, toilet stools,
furniture, appliances, swimming pool liners, etc... (All items not listed:
collector's judgment).
Do you take boxes?
Yes, we accept boxes if broken down. The quantity accepted is based on space
availability.
Is there a weight limit on bags?
Yes, each bag must be under 10lbs and must be able to maintain its contents
without tearing or leaking.
When is my payment due?
Payment is due the 15th of the month prior to the month of service. A late
fee of $2 for residential customers and $5 for commercial customers is due if
paid after the 25th of the prior month.
Why do I have to pay before my service is rendered?
We prepare our route in advance for monthly customers, and daily for new
customers.
Can I pay and start my service anytime during the month?
Yes.
Will my rate be prorated depending on when I start during the month?
At times we are able to consider the number of pick ups that are remaining in
the month, but there are many factors that determine the initial fee, i.e., how
much garbage is to be collected, how old the garbage is, administrative fees,
etc..
Do you offer any discounts?
Sometimes, we are able to offer 3-month, 6-month or 12-month prepaid discounts
to our new customers when requested. All prepaid rates are valid for one year.
How much will I pay once my discount year is up?
You will be charged the base rate on yearly renewals, late payments, or upon
cancellation of service.
Will I be able to get a refund for prepaid services should I relocate out of
A.O.K.'s service area?
Yes, once requested, all refunds will be based on the base rate of service.
Cancellation of service must be made prior to the 1st of the next service month.
Garbage container(s) must be left clean and empty for pick up.
Can I pay the driver or the toter?
Yes; however, customers are responsible for payments reaching the office. We
prefer that all payments be mailed to the office or paid online.
